Lucas’s notes
From "Oktubre" (1986). El Indio described how a T-shirt with your favourite artist’s face, once so many people wear it, stops being an act of defiance and becomes something marketing agencies use to sell to well-off people. Always so far ahead in his vision of the future (will it be as I imagine, or will it be a happy future?), he sets the sadness of the lyrics (tick-tock, fleeting!) against music that gets you moving and maybe reaching for something with a bit of alcohol in it (ha!). Ideal for practising with a metronome, as it’s a fast song, and for switching from a very defined melody to Skay’s trademark rhythm section.
