Lucas’s notes
From "Carnaval de Luz" (2026). This is the hardest song of all the ones I’ve uploaded so far (and probably of any still to come). It isn’t technical at all, apart from its majestic use of delay; it just felt so long that learning it, recording it and so on was a bit of an ordeal. Not because I mind long songs ("Citizen Erased", I owe you my life), but because some parts felt rather monotonous on the way to the classic U2 chorus (it has its charm, I’ll admit). Ideal for trying out this band’s trademark delay, and I’m not sure I can say much more about it (ha!).
