From "Oktubre" (1986). The opening to one of the most famous albums in Argentine rock history couldn’t be more forceful. A record packed with references to the Russian Revolution ("te prefiero internacional") kicks off amid bombing sounds, with the band fading in. Skay’s work here is simply mind-blowing: guitars set against each other, yet always following a logic that lets the song, despite having two guitars (or more at times), be condensed into one and still be just as enjoyable. Ideal for building stamina on a song at a steady tempo; personally, I struggled with the hammer-ons at the start of the riff and with combining them with the second guitar.
